Welcome to the Creative Kids Club Page!

The Prettyboy Rec Council is excited to announce the opening of the Creative Kids Club. This group will strive to offer after school art opportunities for the PBE community. 

For the 2024 Fall season, two new clubs will be openning.

Arts in Motion- Dance Class

Objective: This program will teach the fundamentals of dance for stage performance. Students grades 3-5 will learn jazz and contemporary dance skills over the course of 8 weeks ending in a final performance showcase of dance numbers. 

Class cap: 25 students in grades 3-5     Price:  $75 per kid for an 8 week course       Instructor: Ms. Carly Boyle

Commisionner: Rachael Zajac       Students will require: Comfortable clothing and dance shoes.

Students will be supplied with: An “Arts In Motion” t shirt and a Yoga Mat. 

Dates and times: This class will run on Wednesdays after school from 3:30pm-4:45pm beginning September 4th and ending October 23rd.

Beyond the Canvas- Art Class

Objective: Young art students will enjoy the opportunity to experience different types of art in a safe and creative place. This class is for grades 1-5, designed to offer children a little bit of everything. The focus will be on the Art Elements: line, shape, form, color, value, space and texture. They will experience drawing, painting, mixed media and sculpture. Whether children have had art classes before or this is their first experience, they will benefit from learning new art techniques as well as building confidence in their art making abilities. Each student will complete a minimum of 4 artworks during this 8 week class.

Class cap: 30 students in grades 1-5  Price:  $90 per kid for an 8 week course  Instructor: Mrs. Mary Roache

Commisionner: Rachael Zajac          Students will require: An art smock  

Students will be supplied with: All art materials needed
